hi all
on my last inspection 2 weeks ago now there was 5 good frames of brood of all stages and they were just about to start filling the last 2 frames in my national bb,is this getting a bit close too them needing more space?should i shove a super on just incase?im going to start apiguarding this weekend, and does this affect my next move also?
all advice is very much appreciated from this newbie as id like to winter them right.:cheers2::cheers2:

Feed them up so they fill all the frames.

Do not put a super on.

Get that apiguard on.
:cheers2:

As said forget supers as it is too late now for them to draw it out. Concentrate on feeding them to ensure they have enough to get through the winter with, along with apiguard.

as im using a ba rapid feeder how would i set this up while apiguarding??

Most crown boards have 2 holes in place the rapid feeder above one of them.

veg would the api be below my rapid feeder or above it??

Ok you have your brood box with the apiguard on top of the brood frames. You should then have an eke, then the crown board, then an empty super with the rapid feeder inside it then the roof. :cheers2:
