A bit slow here at the moment, is that the ears on a rampant rabbit or an owl we're' referring to.

All the better to hang onto of course.

Passive IR and a very high frequency alarm to scare the peckers but not draw attention of people. Don't want them all seeing the shennanigans with the rabbit :)
 
I have both cedar and plywood hives. One location where the cedar hives are obviously have no Woodpeckers 'cos there is no damage. At another location where I have three exterior ply broodboxes the Woodpecker has given them a right bashing. One had a 3" diameter hole in the side and had made a complete mess of three broodcombs.
 
Sorry didnt see this post before sticking mine on, do those plastic owls really work ?

If i have to build mesh domes around my hives i will but would prefer to leave them open if i can do something else.
