Why don't birds eat dead bees?

Why don't birds eat dead bees?
My colonies are set up and a concrete floor so I get a good idea of the numbers of bees that die/give out from month to month - I would have thought this would be a sort of bird table..but birds go nowhere near em
 
They do, pheasants especially.

I saw a blackbird only yesterday with about 4 in its beak (presumably off to a nest)
 
I have great ****.......I know!!!!!!......that eat all my bees.:)
