Some fields of OSR in full flower now, miles of butterbur, wild garlic and dandelions also in flower, among other things.
Certainly no shortage of forage now in this damp but mild weather.

You must be close to having a few full supers with all that lot in bloom.
Your mid-March sounds very much like our mid-May.
OSR is at least a month, if not more, away...but at least it will be earlier than last year.
Approx 1 year ago it was -7C all day with sleet.

Have two springs here with regards many things flowering, early in the valley and three weeks to a month later out over.

OSR is also flowering in parts of Scotland now.

Only 25 to 27 days away from the first grafts of the season...rain or shine.

This happens much the same to me plants / tree's flower in the valley and then it works it's way up the hill last year we had a flow from harwthorne three to four weeks before it was local .

I had a sneak look two weeks ago, most are six frames bees, did not remove frames to look at brood.

In your opinion that's strong this time of year?
, I've hives on 8 frames and I'm feeding fondant , I also would of liked to inspect first before I moved them just to see what's happening, There's blackthorn out and cherry even the orchards are starting to bud up , there's going to be no need to feed them if the weather gets better.

Lots of willow catkins here. And garden flowers - primula etc..
With torrential rain last week, and snow this am, and high winds, the only bees foraging here are either stupid, lucky or about to be dead.

That is why I feed pollen patties in spring. The nearest arable land is over the valley side (+200 meters higher) or 4 miles away - or both..

Just noticed next doors Willow catkins are available but it's only 6 degrees at the moment. Weak sun and windy. Maybe better tomorrow? :)

Other than trolling for a response, I really don’t know what on earth you are talking about but there again, nothing new there!
S

We have Lesser Celandine in flower in the Tamar Valley.... what is trolling for a response in that?

Bees seem to be foraging from them early this sunny morning... but I wonder if they were taking dew from them?
