My bees swarmed on Friday & I got them into a super with four new frames.
i got hold of a new brood box & moved the bees into it on Sunday.
by now, the bees had built loads of comb, but none on the frames, it was a flat grapefruit sized lump.
I moved the new comb inbetween a couple of frames in the new brood box (it's on top of the super) & they're taking syrup.
I couldn't check them today 'cos it was cool & drizzly.
Questions. Did I do ok, or is there more that I could've done? What next?
I've only had the bees for three weeks so a swarm is a challenge so early in my beek career...

Hi Nev, The four frames you gave the bees did they have foundation - whole sheet or starter strip? and was the rest of the brood box closed off with a dummy board?

A picture or two would help. Regards Mike
