Mould?...pollen..?..ivy..?..

There is about three frames with this in it..

Ahhh...swarm!...blinking uploading difficulties again..it just won't upload!..it's kind of dark grey dirty looking not sèaled...three frames with a large patch on one side of the frames!

Try again, it would be better to see the photo to be sure because I normally see pollen dotted here and there, rather than a large patch. You will sometimes see the top of a pollen arc reach into the first super.

I had to change settings and take a selfie with it so it's not a great photo!

Just pollen, quite normal and nothing to be concerned about.

That much pollen?..do you just extract it along with the rest of the honey?

Sometimes a lot more, yes just extract it, the pollen will stay, but any pollen combs can cause a wobble in the extractor due to the uneven weight.

Once I had a whole 12 x 14 brood box full with pollen and the bees and honey in standard brood box above. By Christmas the 12 x 14 was empty!

Empty of pollen, but full of bees i reckon.

Yep it's pollen. I can smell surprisingly yucky until you get used to it. Try smearing a little bit on your hand, you should get a yellowish stain that smells sweeter as it dries
