Can anyone tell me what this is?

it has been covered in bumble bees!

My guess is Cotoneaster voortuin.
 
Definitely Cotoneaster of some sort. Mine get covered in bumbles and honey bees as soon as it is out.
 
Still waiting for them to open here in Boston. Loads of gardens have it including the front of my house. Is it a particularly good flow or just a high sugar content?
 
Yep cotoneaster - the variety that produces red berries is in flower over here as in your picture, the one that produces yellow berries follows straight after:)
 
Looks like Cotoneaster horizontalis. A favourite nectar source for Queen wasps,amongst other things.
