Have noticed over the last couple of days the bees returning with little yellow dots on their heads when they return from foraging, quite amusing, but was wondering what plant they have been visiting ?

Any Ideas?

Do you have any rape nearby? I don't have much near home, just some along a stream , must have been stray seed. I see the odd bee coming back with a yellow dot.

If it had been orange I would have said broom as that has a trigger the bees release which dots their heads and thorax. But yellow... hmm

Could be orange, didnt study it for long.

I thought with rape they were absolutely covered in it ?

Could it be flag iris??? As the bee enters, the pollen is brushed onto the back of their heads, that's how it works, and they are in full flower at the moment...
