I have a hive near the kitchen door.
Today they are very pingy and busy.
I noticed bees being carried away from the hive and some rolling round on the floor in small balls, others walking around looking drunk.
I had a look at some of the ones walking and noticed their wings were not right in some cases missing.
My first thought was oh no DWV but when I looked with a magnifier their wings looked like they had been cut off not shrivelled up.

They don't mess around when fighting off robbers it's like a MMA fight but no holes barred.

The entrance is as small as the block will allow and the colony is strong so i'm not overly concerned atm.

Only problem is running the gauntlet when using the kitchen door now.

Mine are just starting to eject the drones today from some of the hives. One still has plenty of drone left in the hive with no signs of eviction. Any time now though.

1 out of 4 hives ejects drone brood at the moment. No robbing were noticed this season, but I fed them like pigs :)
