A wood pigeon. The third in a week
Oopsdoing what?
Possibly a cat?Oops
Hawk?I thought that but there is an obvious sign of a strike under the bird feeder a metre or so away
I was hoping it might be something more exoticLooks more like a fox to me. In had hens in the garden killed by decapitation and one of he heads was missing and the rest left with thereo heads off ... Fox was to blame.
Definitely a Tasmanian Devil attack.I was hoping it might be something more exotic
They take them when they have chance but will kill them all, take what they can carry then come back for the rest .. it may have taken one of a pair and not had time to come back for the other ....classic fox kill with the head bitten off I'm afraid. That's assuming you have plenty of garlic growing and it's not the Vampire Chicken at work !Foxes have had hens. They take them away.
