I completed my 2nd Varroa vaporised treatment yesterday, found small amount of water on the bottom board (metal) I didn't want to open the hive after the treatment will check tomorrow. check roof etc and found no sign of how the water could enter the hive. Guess condensation, but after 6 days??

no water found on 2nd hive bottom board (wood).

Hope no surprises tomorrow,

Ok, good point will double check. Thanks
It's a purchased WBC base. Thrones. Paper is to check Varroa drop

Being metal it could well be condensation especially if there was a difference in temperature between the inside & outside of the hive. Warm air inside the hive if any moisture in it could condense on the inside if the metal is colder on the outside. Wood would not have this effect as it is porous and breathable.

Was there water on just one side of the sheet?

Could be bees fanning off nectar or syrup?

first time I checked around 1pm, checked tonight before feeding and small amount of water (large table spoon) on the metal base board. I felt too cold today to go through hive. will check tomorrow, forecast 18c
