hi all
i've been up my bee's today to seen that they are being over-run by wasps, i've shortend the entrances down, and one of them down to about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch ... and i was wondering if that was to small for them??
georgia
all ready destroyed 5 wasps nest so far :)

Hi Georgia b
If you check further down the threads there is one called damn wasps. Entrance sizes are covered in that. Sorry I can't help you, I am a new beek also. Best of luck with the wasps.

I see you have four colonies. If they are strong that space should be OK.
I shut one of my small colonies down to one bee space for a while. They had to queue but ne'er a wasp got in.

yeah their all strong ... thanks for the advice

better they queue to get in and out than the wasps get in and out.

I wish I could find some wasp nests to destroy!
