Here is a short video of bees at the entrance to a nuc beating off a pesky wasp. The wasp appears at 0:27 and doesn't take no for an answer. It is the same wasp throughout the sequence. Shows how persistant the little blighters can be.

After having seen far too many wasps trying their luck recently :( I kept my eye on the big daft drone sat at the right doing naff all. Funny how when the wasp turned up, he just budged up to above the entrance, and continued to do naff all there lol. I love drones...they are ace :D
 
Im with you on that one Kaz, they always manage to make me chuckle.
 
I noticed wasps were getting into the roof of a hive through the 'ventilation' space on the side. I jammed tissue in there to block them off- Today I looked - about 100 dead from ?lack of food etc. Even better than my jam traps:sifone:
