Warm way or cold way which is best and why?

I'm a newby so opinions of the more experienced would be helpful

Regards Richard.

I don't think it matters to the bees.
Which is best depends on how you work your bees - which is the easiest for you to handle?

Presuming OMF it matters not a jot for the bees.
If you inspect from behind the hives then warm,if from the side, cold.
I know somebody that runs on double brood or brood and a half and runs one box cold and the other warm......he says it reduces comb between the boxes.

Ah, but is the lower box cold and the upper warm or vice versa?

Just asking.

I have a problem with this thread, it does not seem to apply to my circumstances.

I am in North Yorkshire. Our choice is simple. Cold way or Even Colder way.

OMF over-rides direction (as prev said) this is a hang up from solid floor days.
