Tuesday 30th October, a Conwy Beekeepers' talk by Wally Shaw (Anglesey BKA) on Varroa.
Message from Wally Shaw...
The talk is about the ongoing evolutionary relationship between the honey bee, Varroa and deformed wing virus. Included in the talk is an account of how Varroa breeds in the hive, because a good understanding of this is crucial for getting the best out of any treatment.
In the final part of the talk, I will discuss the non-treatment option.
I have to say it is not exactly a 'feel-good' topic.
Venue: Craig y Don Community Centre, Queens Road, Llandudno LL30 1TE.
See https://tinyurl.com/y8rxkcxo for directions.
Welcome tea/coffee and cake from 7.20pm.
Meeting starts at 7.40pm.
All welcome.
