Look West over the next few clear evenings (after 20:00) and you will see Venus and Mercury in conjunction. Mercury is not visible very often as it is usually too close to the sun. It is just to the right of Venus. Venus is very bright.

I went out tonight to look at about 20:15 and could only see Mercury with binoculars. Last night was visible by naked eye just after 21:00.

Moon joins the party

Take a look to the West after about 20:30 for a conjunction of Mercury, Venus and the crescent moon.

There might also be good sunsets over the next few days with the ash from the Icelandic volcano.

something wrong with the way I attached the image but click on it anyway

I thought the dust was due to Tottenham Hotspur dusting off their trophy cabinet... :hat:

Uncluttered by contrails or navigation lights.

What effect on our temperatures over the next few days I wonder?

The image is good.
