Hi all

This was taken today.

Oh well I guess she is one of the 2% that gets away :)

Not bad for an iphone :D

I hope you hoyked it out on principle!
What strain are you keeping Onge? They white bands on the abdomen are very distinctive not seen anything that bright before or is the phone excentuating the colour diff?

Mongrels.

Probably exaggerated with the zoom although some are quite white.

5 of my hives are decended from the swarm I started with 3 years ago :) these have white bands. Had the original queen 3 years plus how old she was when she swarmed.

2 nucs (admin :) ) dark.

2 swarms (not mine) orange & mixed.

They're really pretty, mine are coffee and cream colour and all fluffy. I used to laugh at a chap who said he could recognise his bees when in his and neighbour's gardens, now I know what he means. Everyone else around here has very dark, shiny bees...mine really stand out!

Not wishing to be a scare mounger but makes me wonder how many are hidden in all that sealed brood?
Cheers
S
