Hi

One of my colonies made queen cells so I moved the queen to a nuc with some bees. I removed cells from the original colony until no more could be made and I now wish to unite the queen back. She will go ontop of the existing brood box. Is that okay? I also have 3 supers on the hive, would I need to use a clearer board first or can I use a piece of newspaper top and bottom of the brood box. Thanks

They are quite likely to make swarm preps again fairly quickly. You need to give them another go at raising a queen so take a frame of young brood and eggs from the nuc you made ( swap a frame of emerging brood). Return in a week and remove all the emergency cells then unite over newspaper
