I can't stop giggling! I love the pictures, but can't quite work out why a man would move hives in his Speedos.

That first picture has to be worthy of a caption competition.

The hives look like a large Dadant.

I think the guy moved the first hive into position took a breather in the second photo and then did a manipulation of the poly hives and freaked when the bee's got angry.
 
We'll be getting naked beekeeping clubs popping up next...

I have heard that polyhives are too light in Estonia because they are easy to steel.

In Moldova beekeeping manages only if the owner sleeps beside hives.

I was in Latvia and Estonia and saw a lot of different hives - including examples of ones from the 1800's which were trunks from trees which had previously held wild swarms, cut down and carried back to the farmhouse. Thought I'd add them here:
