Hi Guys

Is it too late to acquire a five frame NUC??

I am being offered one but am just wondering if it is too late in the year...

Cheers
Pete

I am not supplying any more Nucs this year,my last two went out today.
Both Nucs went to local Beekeepers.

If you do go ahead then make sure you have a good amount of brood/stores.
My last 2 nucs went on 5 frames of brood and one full frame of stores with stores covering the outside of all frames.
The boxes were heaving with bees.

I agree with Admin. Leave it till Spring now and let someone else take the risk.

how strong are your two existing hives?

Still plenty of time to make a nuc from them with a bought queen, would be easier doing from 3 hives mind.
