Hi All,
Made the terrible mistake of putting ApiLife Var on whilst there was a partially filled super on. Fortunately the bees have taken most of the honey down into their BB though will I ever be able to use the contaminated empty frames in supers ever again. Does the thymol smell dissipate over time?
Second question relates to a hive which has only 3-4 frames of bees in the BB. Filled the void in the hive with hessian sacking and have started to feed them with syrup.
Is this an adequate number of bees to survive the winter or do I need to unite?
Cheers in advance

Hi All,

I am at present treating a colony with a part filled super on, i will just mark the frames for bee food only and leave it with them for the winter, whether you can use again some time after not too sure about that.
