I feel a little silly for asking this, but....

How do I mount thin un-wired wax in a super frame?

I appear to be getting fairly fluid at the whole wired foundation lark but im not sure how I would go about getting un-wired foundation to stay in the frame. Does it require a specialist frame or is this another think I need to roll my trouser leg up for? :)

Hi Peebles

Very simply the removable piece of the top bar pinches the foundation when nailed, if you have the chance a little liquid wax poured along the top bar/foundation for a proper job.....................Necessary if you are making up a few in advance or they are going to get bounced around a bit in transportation.

Regards Ian

As per Ian's post, or you can bend a little around and stick it under the wedge before nailing. As the bees construct the comb, that is when it really gets held firm in the frame.
