Got a call today to collect a football sized swarm.
Went to look at a very nice calm bunch of dark bees Popped them in the nuc, Watched the queen land on the front of the nuc ,where she climbed on the back of a drone then she went inside the nuc. Good so far !!

Am picking them up at 8.00pm to take up to the farm with the rest of my bees.
2nd nuc new swarm this year.

Nice one splash.

Where possible, try and keep swarms from unknown origins away from your other bees. It's possible they could carry diseases which may not be apparent immediately and could be spread through bees drifting between colonies.

They will moved asap , 4.00pm call about the swarm 6.00pm look after work with nuc, collected the bees at 8.00pm all nice and snug just put duct tape over the entrance and took to farm due to time scale.
I have two site's one with two hives one with 4 and another nuke. Looks like i need another site !!!
