So far this year I'm 1 - 2 for collecting swarms
I got a call from a gentleman yesterday about a swarm he had in his porch roof which he wanted removed but didn't want to call the council in case they use poison to kill them. Like so many non beeks he was concerned about the noise and was worried they may sting any one who visited his house.
After a quick inspection he had a small bumble bee nest under the tiles. A quick search on google to identify them and I think they are Bombus Hortorum.
The week before when I collected a lovely swarm off the side of a house as they were lured by the smell of a huge disused wasp nest in her loft.
So now when ever my phone rings I'm kind of hoping its honey bee swarm...
