Just when every thing appears to be going well.....

Not sure what has been happening

A week ago I removed some frames, eggs, and Brood from my hive to make a nucleus.
Went to assess the progress today and found 6 queen cells in the nucleus.
So I have kept the best one, given the second to a fellow Beekeeper and removed the 4 smaller ones.

I then went to inspect the main hive.
I found a super of honey capped and ready to take off.
a second super filling up nicelly but not capped
and in the Brood box another dozen or so queen cells !!!

Not too sure what is going on.
I couldnt see the queen and there was no evidence of new eggs, though the larval looked about 6 days old, which ties in with my starting the nucleus.

Have I killed the queen do you think?

On a more positive side I was able to make a second nucleus up, complete with queen cell,
leave a nice queen cell in the main Hive,
take off a super of honey,
and pass several nice queen cells to our local association to use.

My worry now is if the queen is still alive, what happens tomorrow?
She is only a year old (if still alive), and has been clipped.

Forgot to say
Whatever is going on the Bees sound happy.
There is pollen going in, and they are making honey :)
