Does anyone know what these very small dark items are? They all look identical and about varroa size, but haven't a clue what they are. On board 24 hrs after an oxalic vape.20211126_131427.jpg
 
Wasn't on my list of things to try, but I'll bag up and send on to anyone who thinks its a good idea ;)
 
thanks for the pointer Poot, think you may well be right. Found this on another forum 'some people actually buy them for their hives. they like varroa mites and will grab one and hold it while they eat one. the mites have no defence . some where i have seen a video of one in action.' Looks like some optimistic beekeepers seeking natural predators. No stone unturned!:D
 
Agree with you Michael. Strong resemblance to wax moth droppings.
