I kept them in the porch last night buzzing away noisly. This morning I managed to retreive a handful more from the orchard from under a crown board I left out where the wreckage had been. Managed to warm a few up and popped them in the nuc.
I've put the nuc back in place where the hive originally was and put bricks on the makeshift roof and a breeze block behind so the prevailing wind wont push it over.
Fingers crossed, although it will be a miracle if they get through the winter. I've got one bee that escaped and seems to think its better off in the warm in the kitchen (cant blame it)

Here was me thinking bee keeping would be a nice gentle hobby with no worries !
