Starting a one frame nuc. Too late?

Something I'm not sure I follow in that video...

He says the nucs are different colours so the bees will learn which one is theirs, but then says if the numbers of bees are out of balance the nucs should be swapped around. But if they know which colour nuc they're going to, why would that make a difference?

It won’t make a difference! Flyers will return to the side they are used to.
 
None of my nucs are suffering from wasp attack even tho they are around. All th nucs are down to one Bee space and some strong and some not so.
Local bees were trying to get into my extraction room yesterday. Hopefully I thwarted them by taping up the door before I left! 😀
Wasps around here but not to bad yet, funny the end comment , I’ll have to try that one .
