I made a few split Nat frames today to try out in mating Nucs. The total avaliable space is one complete Nat frame but when in the mating nuc it's split into two!
Reason for trying this is I'm going to add them into a strong hive to draw out quick then move to these little Nucs. Do you think one frame ( two half frames) is enough for mating Nucs or should I go with three half frames?
Come winter I will unite some of these frames to make up normal Nucs to overwinter..
My plans anyhow, let's see what the bees think ��
