Started using an Abelo box this year with a large dadant smoker, makes moving between apiaries quicker as no need to empty smoker and make sure hot smoker and tipped out contents are not a fire hazard.

:iagree:

Wooden nuc bungeed in the back of the truck near the tailgate, side window of the back unit opened an inch or two
Is that with the hardtop yeah?

My windows are permanently open anyway.

Do you fix the box with a bungee or something?

yes, with a hard top - I have stretched a bungee between the middle and rear cargo securing points and that holds the box in place, loose fitting wooden plug in the nozzle of the smoker slows down the smoke a little, keeps going for a good 20 minutes before flagging

.
To light the smoke is quick when you use egg package cartong. It starts to burn at once. It needs only small pieces to relight again.
