Hi there,
I have a standard national and was planning to overwinter them on this (planning to upgrade next Spring to 14x12). I have left a half full super underneath with cb in between and am hoping they'll bring up stores to the bb so I can remove it.
I was going to check them quickly today; however, what do I do if they haven't moved the stores up? Should I leave it and hope they empty it, or take it off? I've just had a visual look in the bb at the moment and it looks full of bees and a lot of activity - pollen being brought in etc. I was also going to start feeding today - I've only just got my second cb, hence the reason I couldn't so it sooner.
