You took off 64 of the 72 , does this mean that the 2 outsides of the Rossrounds ( 8 in total) were not filled . I have made up a section crate from Langstroth poly brood box to take 72 rossrounds

Yes, the 2 outsides of the top box were just started. Some sections were only partially filled and capped or left untouched.
As we keep our Buckfast bees in poly Langstroth brood boxes too I would be interested in some more details about your double section crate. After last years bumper crop I feel inclined to copy your arrangement and see what will happen.

Well they come in a timber box/crate so I just adapted the double box to fit
