just doing a few odd jobs in the garden and was setting up a bait hive for my allotmnet and had the hive on the patio table

added a spot of lemon grass oil and just fresh half frame KBS foundation....carnie scout bees, about three on to it in while i was screwing the lid down

14c but no wind...seems early for scouts, where they robbers or scouts, definely not my bees no pollen and ignoring the crocus nearbye.....might leave it on the patio...

Just inquisitive bee's attracted by the aroma,i have lots of them sniffing around empty box's.

I agree. Bees were out today trying to get into empty supers and an empty nuc which I'd forgotten to block up.
