Had a call for a swarm tonight. I asked the questions as normal, what do they look like where are they how high up.
The chap said they are in a bird box. Ok I said they will be bumble bees then. He then replies I dont know what bees they are but could you come and remove them. So off I go get there and they were indeed bumble bees in a bird box about 12 feet off the ground. Told the chap they wouldnt be a bother but he asked if I could take them anyway.
So the bird box is now firmly attached to my garage and they seem to be none worse for the car journey.
