Hi apart from Cuprinol clear varnish ,any other bee safe product for painting hives ?

Are you absolutely sure the bees are not coming into contact with anything harmful once they leave the hive?
No -you can't be.
Use water based stuff and make sure it's dried and vented for a week first if you're worrying- but in the grand scheme of things.......

Saddolin Classic!……
to be fair you can really use anything you like on external surfaces if given plenty of time to dry.

Beehive paint from Thornes. Its expensive but it’s good. Been painting mine yellow this year, looks very cheerful

You can't get the proper stuff any more though. Not as far as I'm aware, anyhow. It all seems to be some wishy-washy muddy water these days. What happened to the stuff you could apply with a stick?

James
Farmers and other trades can still obtain it .

Creosote is fine for posts or fences, there’s really better things to paint hives or anything you have too handle!
