Dear all,

Launch evening of the Sheffield Beekeepers Association – Wednesday 10th November @ 7pm

The venue will be :- Wood Lane Countryside Centre, Wood Lane, Stannington, Sheffield S6 5HE (unless we get huge numbers and we may need to review this)

Well its taken a little time but we are finally getting things together even though the content for the evening is still being finalised.

On Wednesday 10th November @ 7pm we will be having the very first gathering of the Sheffield Beekeepers Association meeting. The aim is simple, it is to offer support and assistance to all those who are considering or who are already active as beekeepers no matter how longs they have been doing it. Its wishes are to be a friendly and inclusive organisation with no hierarchy or ranking but simply a group of like minded people who are keen to pass on and receive knowledge in the craft of keeping of bees.

What can you do?

- Attend the meeting if you are at all interested in beekeeping, starting out, supporting, or simply to gain knowledge.
- Join the new association – bring your cheque books!
- Think about what you can contribute to the group both on the night and ongoing
- Pass on this email to other beekeepers we are not aware of in the Sheffield area
- Bring £2.00 cash as there will be a cover charge to assist paying for drinks and the food – there will be a buffet
- Complete the online survey -> http://www.sheffieldbeekeepers.org.uk/
- SBKA email address is -> [email protected]
- Respond to this email confirming attendance as we need to know numbers please

Anyone interested in taking an activite role in running/supporting the association should drop me an email expressing so please.

Kind Regards

Jez
