Rail link and Stoneleigh

just been reading the route of the new london birmingham high speed train

and it says

Shortly afterwards a short tunnel would be needed to pass under the Ufton Wood/Long Itchington Wood Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)

A few miles further it passes through Stoneleigh Park and Gardens before passing between Kenilworth and Coventry.


So do you think the BBKA will loose their HQ and exhibition venue

Runs to the north of the Stoneleigh site in the gap before the village and so misses pesticide HQ by 500m

Still it's all academic, It's not going to get built for a very, very long time if at all.

it might as well go through stoneleigh as there ant any thing going on there. the whole site is ghost town at the best of times

I can only hope -- my quiet little backwater ( more horses in the village than people ) now has plans for trains 400yards from my house and half mile away right through my out-apiary...

Still, might stop developers building houses where garden orchards used to be...
