quick swarm capture question

just had this swarm arrive in a bait five over last hour or so (see video), they have been scouting for 2-3 weeks

an hour or two later on and there is still a fair bit of activity and a cluster of bees underneath (see picture)

to avoid absconding as best as poss, should i

1. brush cluster into nuc and put QE on to try to 'capture' them
2. just leave them and hope for the best, checking after dusk (normal flying time) to see if they've settled

very grateful for any advice and really appreciate beng able to ask!

they absconded and settled on a pile of leave nearby eantering an old tree stump

i now have 1/3 in a cardboard box qnd 1/3 in a nuc and the rest flying/on ground

what a mess

suppose i leave until they choose a site for night based on where queen is?

I would say there is nothing more you can do today and by tomorrow they will probably have sorted themselves out.

Open mesh floor on a nuc - it happens.

Picked up a swarm in the garden of the farm where I have an apiary Wednesday evening, they'd been there since Tuesday but I was too busy to collect - didn't have that much time Wednesday either but I had to drop a new colony off there in the morning so, in the rain, dropped the colony into a nuc, half fell outside the nuc so scooped a few handfuls of them back in, closed up then watched the rest troop in (did I mention that I'd also omitted to put my bee suit and gloves in the truck?) came back in the evening - all settled, contented hum from inside the nuc so closed up and picked it up. As I walked back to the truck, landlady came out to chat and say goodnight and noticed a big bunch of bees hanging down beneath the OMF!!! so, still plenty of light, shake as many bees as possible onto the path and wait for them to troop in (Did I mention I didn't bother loading beesuit as it was just a shut up the box, pick up and go job?) eventually loaded them up as it got dark - still a fair few bees clutching to the outside of the floor.
Settled in the home apiary now, bees flying and foraging but... checked a little earlier, some bees still on the outside of the OMF - they've even drawn comb!!
Have to wait until Sunday afternoon to sort them now.

so as the frenzy arrived and went in to the bait hive...a clump formed on OMF...should i have shaken that clump into the box there and then to ensure i had queen?
