Just checked my hives and within one the queen has stopped laying. Queen is last years and they were building up really well and I was even thinking of putting a super on very soon.
Has anyone else had this and if so did she start laying again, if not how long should I leave it before re-queening?
Cheers

Any queen cells ? not thinking of swarming are they..
Whats the brood pattern like ?
Maybe they wil supercede her if she is failing.

Thanks for reply,
There was a single queen cell two weeks ago which I took out thinking if on next inspection they had drawn more I would AS. Brood pattern has been great until a week ago when it strated getting patchy and I noticed a problem. My thoughts are she is failing but as she has been so good and produced lovely bees I dont want to dispose of her but think I may have to :ack2:

Not treating with anything - like apiguard for varroa?

Otherwise not looking so good for her.

No not treating at all, she came through winter really well and was building up a good colony but has suddenly stopped laying, all very strange. I have a laying queen in apidea which I think I may have to introduce soon!
