I’m thinking the larvae is drone as the cells are very pronounced which would indicate she hasn’t yet mated? What happens next?
Jenkins, Brendan was not happy with what I took to be his way of referring to bullet shaped drone brood. If you follow the thread he introduced a mated queen into a hive that turned out to have a vacated emergency QC. He is concerned that the emergency queen killed the mated queen and that the emergency queen is not mated. That is a very plausible scenario IMHO and unfortunately I agree with Brendan's concerns.
 
I'm well aware of what has happened, and also what he has posted today. Too many people going off half cock is why people struggle.
'I think' is not the same as 'I know', we are just asking him to confirm, he's already been told two courses of action following that.
 
Pics of the brood pattern as asked for would be best for all to see.
