Looking to do some grafting next year, to hopefully raise my own high quality, locally adepted queens.
Once finished, thinking of sticking the cells in an incubator to hatch.
Looking for recommendations for an incubator, not too pricey, able to take up to ~24 cells at a time.

Would appreciate any info.

Thanks.

Get yourself an old cooler and soil warming cable with thermostat. You could make one quite easily

Get a heat source and an STC100 (about £10 on fleabay), I used an incubator heating cable in mine, works a treat. You could just look for a second hand chicken incubator, its winter and I bet there are load for sale.

X2 for chicken incubators .
I picked up an old brinsea ovation for about £50 on ebay its been good for a fair few chooks turkeys and queens. Would take 80-100 if i needed it to.

Again a Brinsea is what I use, perfect with the added humidity control which was purchased for hatching geese but also works well with queen cells.

I use a ply box lined with kingspan, small electric fans from maplins and low wattage bulbs running off stc1000.keeps within 0.4 of a degree

fortunately for me I used to exhibit poultry so have Brinsea Octogan 10, 20 and an R com with full humidity control.

generally I use the Octogan 20 and achieve excellent emergence rates.

try looking on Preloved, gumtree and Facebook market place, I see quite a few on there.
