Last Friday I checked hive for swarm preps and found just 2 sealed queen cells in brood box, queen not seen but saw eggs so presumed superceding and left them to it.
Today I was checking the supers(I didn’t check them last Friday) and found 1 sealed queen cell in middle of a super frame with 6 sealed drone cells but no other eggs or brood on any super frames-I do use queen excluders although I gather queens do sometimes get through. I am just confused as to why the queen would not have laid up other brood in the super.
should I leave them with just one cell or move the super frame down into the brood nest and leave all 3 . Any advice would be appreciated.
