I set up my nuc in their hive this week, all is going well. Very busy bees and I am feeding them.

This morning I found a large bee shaped chrysalis outside the hive. It appears to be a unformed queen.

Is this possible? Is this Okay? Thanks Bet

I look this morning one of my mating nucs. It was the same. Dead queen out and cluster of bees. I joined bees to next nuc.

If you find a queen or several out of entrance, they have renewed the queen and extra queen are aborted.
