decided to but the bullet and go double brood as 8 frames of brood in first box. Put new one with drawn frames under old one 10 frames each and super on top. Saw queen all well. But just as I was going to put strap on noticed that forgot QE. Only two mins had passed so guessed the queen would remain where she was or go down. Opened up today to see queen above QE super rammed with brood. No QC. So took off QE. What should i do next? Currently have 2 and a half brood with almost no brood on bottom two. Should I move queen to bottom two and put another QE in and another super or is that too much space?

That’s what I thought just worried that two empty brood boxes would be too much

Take away bottom deep if you want but unlikely to be an issue. Bigger problem im terms of keeping warm is having too much space above rather than below. They'll sort themselves out.
