In lockdown, Ive been working through the clubs extensive library of beekeeping books and came across a book printed in 1977. The author Ray Hill created a small book titled Propolis. It mentions what we all know about propolis tinctures reduce throat inflammation, not wishing to join the fake cure for C-19 brigade, but do you think that the most valuable resource from the hives this year might be just Propolis?

(Hurriedly searching for a tin helmet in anticipation of responses)

Akk you need is a controlled test of some 200 willing Covid 19 patients, no deaths as a result, enough propolis to treat them, a licence, several indepedent reviews, clearance by the various agencies and several £million to have the test verfiied and approved.

Then you will become very rich - if it works...and it is still relevant after the five or so years to do the above.

Good luck:)

I think you’ve got to much time on your hands.......don’t worry though should be some polo in June;)

As COVID-19 attacks the lungs not the throat I suspect even if the propolis tincture worked on sore throats, it'd do bugger all here.
Of course if you come down with it (and I hope you don't), you can always try.

I have (for the second time) this year ventured into selling some propolis tincture, using the propolis gleaned from my winter kit-cleaning. With some 96% grain alcohol (which is obvs. in short supply at the moment), it was simple enough to knock-up 50 (20ml) bottles of this, at minimal outlay, and I sell it for £8 per bottle. Assuming it sells, it's a no-brainer to me.

Anyhow, my point is this. I reckoned with selling only 1 bottle a week, and was barely even hitting that ... until Covid.

Within a week, I had sold out (kerrching)... mainly to eastern european customers, who are clearly cognisant of what propolis tincture and its uses and potential health benefits.

Do they know something we don't ?? Who knows, but I did Google "Coronavirus Propolis Tincture" at the time, and there are, to my eye, properly authored scientific papers out there hypothesising its use as a compound to combat coronaviruses... one of which (testing a feline coronavirus - and I appreciate there are many viruses in this family) seems to suggest that it correlates with increased levels of the related antigens in the subjects.

I am not claiming to know anything for sure, but I would not find it surprising to know it is of benefit v.s. Covid-19, and there are clearly people out there who believe it may.

there are people out there who believe in chemtrails, that 5G caused Coronavirus (as well as fry your brains) and that drinking a pint of domestos will make you Covid immune.
Don't mean it be true :D

The alien controlling their brains made them believe it...:paparazzi:
