Plants: really too numerous to mention as we have many well cultivated parks and gardens. If this is your area of interest I'd a suggest a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. www.kew.org

Pollen ID try http://www.beedata.com/nbb/pollen_identification_cd.htm

or go to Archives internet and type in Dorothy Hodges Pollen For beekeepers.

this method of staining and mounting of pollen is somewhat different to normal mounting techniques.

I have an album showing pollen grains http://www.beekeepingforum.co.uk/album.php?albumid=59

If you have any pollen then send it to me and I will try to identify what plant it came from . That goes for everyone.

Nearly forgot the best pollen identification site is this one http://www.paldat.org/

Thank you for the info. It can be challenging if you're not a UK local, learning the names of plants around that are not common in your country of origin! I mean; what d'you do? Take a picture of the mysterious plant and google it? LOL! Methinks a visit to Kew might be useful :)
