Hi,
Can anyone tell me the pollen colour of buddleia please? It's not on any pollen charts that I can find. I'm curious as my bees are covering the Davidii Black Knight that's in my garden.

Quite similar to the ones I have. But if it's not supposed to be generally appealing to bees (previous thread), that is either encouraging as my own may benefit, or perhaps worrying as there may be a dearth of other sources localy.

There are butterflies on mine but ne'er a bee. They are busy on something else, shooting out at great speed from early morn till late. They're making up for the wet May/June and half July. Bramble still coming and plenty of Clover,Meadowsweet and Rosebay. The Balsam within reach has been exterminated by the Balsam Police, all offcomers.
My Kirk Pollen Guide has Black Knight a dirty yellow colour.

An "offcomer" round here is someone who has moved into the area and hasn't lived here for at least 20 years.

Well it's a good job they have moved in then if the locals can't look after the environment, I assume it's classified as an invasive introduced species in the UK and subject to destruction?

20?
more like 200 here :)
I'm an offcomer and married a local boy so his family while gently taking the piss of my sarfen accent have excused me.
Most offcomers up here just push the house prices up and run the little villages a la WI.
