Is this a Thorn Apple?
Popped up amongst the Phacelia
It’s about 18 inches tall.
My grubby hand for scale.

As per Eric..i had them in the garden last year and this year probably from the wild bird seed..the seeds are hallucinogenic and my old hippy friend used to say they made the world a better place when he used to eat them..the other parts of the plant can kill you if eaten..

Yes. It’s added to Ayahuasca which helps shamans “fly”
