whilst sitting watching the hive just now a Hornet came along and started bothering the emerging bees. managed to get a clip of it luring one to edge before taking it away. movie attached!

Blimey, it just took that bee and disappeared - poor bee - Armageddon Day!

hornet pt 2

whilst out gathering figs this evening loads of our bees were on the base of the figs taking the sugary liquid that seeps out. hornets were out too picking them off one at a time.

The damn cheek of the thing!! How dare they! That was awful. Great clip though.
