So she doesn't drop to the floor then as was suggested on the thread..
It was 2011 and I'm working my way through the threads and posts from then onwards.
Are you having some sort of white powder with your honey for breakfast Curly? You seem to be managing to achieve an astonishing amount! I'm starting to feel like a real slug after looking at your posts!

Nope I just burn the candle both ends and then some.
White powder wouldn't work it would just screw me up eventually.

I always knew the quality of my candles wasn't up to it...
In truth, it's lovely to read your posts.... with such creative energy and enthusiasm for life and learning! Never mind the work you put in!

Well I do like my bee porn.
If you are really in to bee porn then you could not do better than get yourself a DVD of "More Than Honey" More than Honey - official film website This trailer includes a superb, but very short, clip of mating:
The full film contains a lot more.

The film also happens to tell of:
  • US commercial beekeepers' disregard of bee and human health - including the widespread use of chemical treatments which would be illegal in Europe
  • China's use of pesticides so efficiently that they now have to pollinate trees by hand
  • Heart wrenching section of an alpine beekeeper having to destroy all his combs once EFB (or is it AFB?) is diagnosed

More clips here:

Thankyou for the video, I'll watch it later when I'm indoors and not getting rained on, cold and wet today in Gloucestershire.
Cheers.

  • It's also worth watching John Miller's TedTalk to give some balance to him

I'll never be able to forget this film. The part that really reduced me to tears though wasn't actually the heart wrenching section you mention, but seeing an unfortunate human employee inside a giant machine spraying a vast bleak monoculture in the States, and all the unfortunate lifeforms still alive in it.
